Epson, renowned for developing high quality printers tailored to the demands of the contemporary office, has today announced that it will be launching a new range of business printers designed to deliver high reliability, high-volume printing in full colour at an exceptionally low cost per page. The B-300 and B-500DN printers utilise Epson Micro Piezo™ technology to make brilliant colour print outs as affordable to produce as typical mono prints from other printers available on the market.

With these products, business users can now benefit from a marked improvement in the quality of office based colour printing at speeds that rival the fastest alternatives on the market. For businesses, this means that colour print work that would have previously been outsourced, such as brochures, direct mail shots and estate agents′ property information sheets, can now be produced in the office, on demand; representing significant potential to reduce outgoing costs."

The B-300 and B-500DN are both capable of producing mono or colour prints at up to 37 pages per minute in draft quality, and up to 33 pages per minute at laser-like quality. Consequently the printers are capable of handling workloads of even the most demanding working environments.

The two paper sources featured on the B-300 and B-500DN mean the printers each offer a high paper capacity of 650 sheets and that fewer paper changes are required when switching between media - enhancing business productivity even further. The printers are also equipped with high-yield ink tanks capable of up to 8,000 pages between replacements, helping to ensure large print runs can be rapidly completed without interruption.

Reliability is another key attribute of the printer series that makes it suitable for demanding business usage. Epson′s Micro Piezo print head featuring an Auto Nozzle check system ensures optimum performance every time. The printer incorporates technology to prevent double feeding of paper, which reduces the chance of paper jams occurring and ensures continuous functionality. Both the B-300 and B-500DN are constructed from high quality materials that allow a maximum print volume of 20,000 pages per month.

Thanks to the use of Epson′s DuraBrite Ultra Inks, printouts on all media including plain paper are of a good quality and are water and smudge resistant, further expanding the printer′s broad range of applications. The B-300 and B-500DN benefit from inkjet technology′s capacity to support a broad range of media, including standard paper, art papers, fabrics and card.

Users of the B-300 and B-500DN will also benefit from the environmental qualities of inkjet technology. Without the need to warm-up the printer before printing and low power utilisation, the Business Inkjet series offers users high-performance printing with a lower carbon footprint than laser print solutions.

Both the B-300 and B-500DN offer high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity as standard. The B-500DN is ideal for shared use amongst workgroups and within smaller businesses due to its network capabilities. The B-300 also offers an optional Duplex unit.
